I Feel Greater Is Coming
By Haywood-Dadzie A.Abeku
Key verse: ....Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. James 1:3-4“
"If it had not been for the shaking, I never would have been ready for the making, no. If it had not been for the beating, I would have never knew how anointed I would be. If it had not been for the pressing, I wouldn't be able to walk into my destiny. He’s preparing me, for greater.” Jekalyn Carr’s "I feel greater is coming” lyrics is as powerful as the final verse of Andrea Crouch’s "through it all“, "I thank God for the mountains, and I thank Him for the valleys, I thank Him for the storms He brought me through. For if I'd never had a problem, I wouldn't know God could solve them, I would never know what faith in God could do”
There are times in our lives when it seems as if we are walking through the valleys of shadows of death alone. These are times when the mountains in our live looks unsurmountable, we ask the Lord, why me? and we are tempted to quote Matthew 27:46 "…. ….., My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me."
I guess a situation like that flashed through your mind right now from either your past or even the present, When you wonder how an all-good, all-knowing, all-powerful God could allow you to go through that painful experience; i.e. the man or woman who promised to marry you and abandoned you; the lab test you fasted and prayed for it to be either negative or positive and did not turn up the way you wished: the outcome of that job or visa interview which you wished would have been positive yet made you felt all alone:the prayer for the Lord to save a loved one,yet the Lord took him or her away.
God is not fair sometimes,I guess that's what you will like to say at this juncture. But wait a minute, I can bet on the fact that you have not come the full circle yet. There is coming a day when you will look back and laugh, and see how God's sovereign hand was at work and how all these tears and sorrows worked for your good.
Roman 8:28 says “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose. For whom he did FOREKNOW, he also did PREDESTINE…. Moreover whom he did PREDESTINE, them he also CALLED: and whom he CALLED, them he also JUSTIFIED: and whom he JUSTIFIED, them he also GLORIFIED
Child of God, faith that has not been tested cannot be trusted, He is prepering you for greater glory, eventhough you may not understand his entire plan. Look for Him. Trust Him. He is at work.Greater is coming.

The Power of The Tongue
By A. Abeku Haywood-Dadzie
Key Verse: So you have no reason, whoever you are, for judging: for in judging another you are judging yourself, for you do the same things.....#Romans 2v1
Selective retention is the process where people more accurately remember messages that are closer to their interests, values and beliefs, than those that are in contrast with their values and beliefs, there by selecting what to keep in the memory. [Wikipedia]
This is what David suffered in his encounter with Prophet Nathan.
David because of his own infidelity has assassinated the husband of Bathsheba; Uriah the Hittite. The Lord’s anger was kindled against him, and the Lord sent Nathan the Prophet to go and talk to David. Nathan goes like “There were two men in one city, one rich and the other poor. “The rich man had a great many flocks and herds. “But the poor man had nothing except one little lamb which he bought and nourished; and it grew up together with him and his children. It would eat of his bread and drink of his cup and lie in his bosom, and was like a daughter to him. “Now a traveler came to the rich man, and he was unwilling to take from his own flock or his own herd, to prepare for the wayfarer who had come to him; rather he took the poor man’s lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.”[2 Samuel 12verse 1-5]
Then David’s anger burned greatly against the rich man in Prophet Nathan’s story, and he said to Prophet Nathan, “As the LORD lives, surely the man who has done this deserves to die. He must make restitution for the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing and had no compassion, and then Nathan said to David YOU ARE THE ONE.”[2 Samuel 12verse 7]
David pronounced an unnecessary jugdement on himself, which came to pass in his life. Child of God perhaps if you will examine your self very well you will not be too quick to judge others.
Remember death and life are in the power of the tongue. Today let mercy triumph judgement and speak love.
They Shall Surely Gather Together
By A. Abeku Haywood-Dadzie
Key Verse: Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. Isaiah 54:15
One significant thing I leant from my days in Sunday school is that God has a very good sense of humor. My Sunday school teacher [May his soul rest in peace]; made these bible stories so clear and relevant that we learnt to live the values of these stories.
One of such stories can be found in the book of Esther in the Old Testament. In Chapter three , Haman the chief of staff of King Xerxes’ had planned to exterminate all the Jews because Mordecai has refuse to bow and pay homage to him. He therefore went to the king and said “There is a certain people scattered and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom; their laws are different from those of all other people and they do not observe the king’s laws, so it is not in the king’s interest to let them live.’ his request to exterminate the Jews was granted.
Fast forward to the Book of Esther chapter six , King Xerxes called Haman and asked him what is to be done for the man whom the king desires to honor? Haman thought he was the one going to be honored and therefore made an elaborate request “Then Haman replied the king, “For the man whom the king desires to honor, let them bring a royal robe which the king has worn, and the horse on which the king has ridden, and on whose head a royal crown has been placed; and let the robe and the horse be handed over to one of the king’s most noble princes and let them array the man whom the king desires to honor and lead him on horseback through the city square, and proclaim before him” ‘Thus it shall be done to the man whom the king desires to honor.’”
That is where God’s sense of humor comes in. Then the King said to Haman, “Take quickly the robes and the horse as you have said, and do so for Mordecai the Jew, who is sitting at the king’s gate; do not fall short in anything of all that you have said. “Haman later died on the fifty cubits high gallows he had prepared for Mordecai the Jew.
Don’t not give up yet child of God, They might have tried to burying you, but little did they know you were a seed, besides ‘who is he that says and it’s comes to pass when the Lord commands it not. [Lamentation 3v37]
By this shall all men know
A. Abeku Haywood-Dadzie
Key verse: By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another …#John 13v35
God in his infinite wisdom and in order to avoid ambiguity set out blueprint for everything on earth. He defined everything in our manual for living the “bible.”
On February 14 every year, all over the world, gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of name of celebrating love [Valentine’s Day]. In Ghana it is christened Cholate day. This is how love is defined in our manual for living.
If I [can] speak in the tongues of men and even of angels, and if I have prophetic powers; the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose, and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge. If I have sufficient faith so that I can remove mountains and even if I dole out all that I have; to the poor in providing food, and if I surrender my body to be burned or in order that I may glory, IF I DON’T EXHIBIT LOVE I AM NOTHING.
Love endures long and is patient and kind; love is never envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited; arrogant and inflated with pride; it is not rude; unmannerly and does not act unbecomingly. Love; God’s love in us does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done ;it pays no attention to a suffered wrong.
It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
Love bears up under anything and everything that comes is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything; without weakening. Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end. [1 Corinthians 13-8]
Child of God this how the bible define love; I can’t promise you that I have been exhibiting all this traits in my life, but am trying and you can try too.
Remember to fall in love with God is the greatest of all romance. Happy vals day[sorry cholate day] in advance.
Whose Report Will You Believe?
A. Abeku Haywood-Dadzie
Key Verse: Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?...#Jeremiah 32vesrse 27
In Numbers chapter 13, God instructed Moses to send some men on a reconnaissance mission to observe the land of Canaan [the promise land] and bring back a report. This was the report ten of the men who were sent on the reconnaissance brought. "…... the land truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. Nevertheless, there we saw the giants and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.” Numbers 13 verse 27-31
It’s very significant to note that it was God who commissioned the reconnaissance mission, and hard to imagine a report more skeptical and faithless to God than this. In short the report of ten out of the twelve member reconnaissance team was simple; all the land is taken up; there are no opportunities for us.
God has proven time and time again that He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think of, however because of our divided allegiance, we put our faith in things that are seen rather than the unseen promises of God and like the sea we are blown and tossed by the challenges of life.
Today, child of God let’s raise a faithful objection like Joshua and Caleb ‘Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, "Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it." [Numbers 13]
Joshua and Caleb demonstrated the spirit of Romans 3:4[“Let God be true but every man a liar], and exhibited the believe of Numbers 23:19[God is not a man, that he should lie.]
It took great faith and bravery for Joshua and Caleb to stand against the tide of unbelief, of doubt and ‘the Nevertheless attitude’.
It’s not easy to believe the unseen promises of God in this challenging economy like ours [Ghanaian economy], BUT ALWAYS REMEMBER WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

Your Name Shall Be Called Israel.
By A. Abeku Haywood-Dadzie
Key verse. …“Your name won’t be Jacob anymore,” the man replied, “but Israel, because you exerted yourself against both God and men, and you’ve emerged victorious.”... #Genesis 32v28
Madonna Louise Ciccone once lamented!” How could I have been anything else but what I am, having been named Madonna. I would either have ended up a nun or this”. What is in a name?
Genesis 32v24-28 recounts a wrestling match between Jacob and a man. In the said account, Jacob prevailed against the man and demanded blessing from him, in response the man asked “What is your name? Jacob, he replied. Then the man then said, your name will no longer be Jacob. Your name will now be Israel ...”
The name Israel was affirmed again by God on Jacob in Genesis 35v9-10 “Your name is Jacob, but you will not be called Jacob any longer. Your new name will be Israel.” So God called him Israel.
In John 1v42 and Matthew 16v18, a similar event took place when Jesus rechristened Simon as Peter/Cephas (meaning the rock) because He desired to build his church on Peter.
Jacob himself changed the name of his son with Rachel from Benoni [Son of My Suffering] to Benjamin [son of my right hand] in Genesis 35v18
What is in a name and how does a name influence a person's character? It was never a coincidence that Nabal was a fool [1 Samuel 25v25], Jabez was sorrowful [1 chronicles 4v9], Lot lacks insight [Genesis 13v1-18] and after an encounter with Christ in Acts 13 Apostle Paul never used the name Saul again.
God carefully selected the name of His only begotten Son [Luke 1:31-32].What is your name child of God? In God’s databank, you are a; Prophet, Priest, Prince, Princess, King, Brother, and Friend Answer to the name God calls you

Elijah We Know Was Human
By A.Abeku Haywood-Dadzie
Key verse…… Elijah we know was a human being with a nature such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours …..(James 5v17)
Post event analyses are always easy to make, this because the conditions under which they are made are total different from the pressures experienced during the real event.
Most of us read and engage in the analysis of biblical accounts from post event perspective. Such analysis sometimes leads to conclusions.
You will be making a big mistake if you ever read the bible from such perspective. Such assumptions will lead you to think that Elijah was remarkably fearless, Esther was extraordinarily courageous; Abraham was extremely brave; and Daniel and the Three Hebrews boys were exceedingly daring.
James 5 verse 17 makes us aware that Elijah and other men of God found in the biblical hall of fame were human with a nature such as we have, they faced the fears and the challenges we are facing now, however they decided to trust in God and these things happened, to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction,
Do you stagger in the valley of despair when faced with life challenges? Remember we have a high priest Who is able to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities.
Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to His throne room of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in good time for every need.(Hebrews 4v14-16)
