plaque psoriasis

There’s no solid medical evidence that particular foods can impact psoriasis, but there is evidence that dropping excess weight can ease symptoms. Health professionals and medical professionals suggest a healthy, well balanced diet to manage your weight as well as your psoriasis, as well as reduce your probability of heart problems, diabetes, and stroke (which are raised in people with psoriasis). The foundation of a proper diet is lean proteins, low-fat dairy, whole grains, and vegetables and fruit, says Heather Mangieri, RD, a spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

My Psoriasis Treatment
I had decent experience with psoriasis growing up. I myself did not have the disease but a close friend of mine did. He handled his condition better than I would have, but he would always be complaining about how much it itched, or how embarrassing it was. I became interested in the condition as a teenager but after college it left my mind. This changed 3 years ago when my 15 year old son, Adam, started showing the symptoms of the illness. Since then it has been an uphill battle of trying to treat his outbreaks. We have personally tried out at least 50 different products and remedies that have been recommended to me from various sources including medical practitioners, online community forums, and other blogs. I thought that sharing what him and I found with everyone else would be beneficial for everybody that suffer from psoriasis.
