Twenty-four veterans that are caused by the Montrose VA hospital will certainly be treated at the Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Cold Spring.
The facility has a specific program that supposedly help with the patients, said center Executive Director Sanya Gudim.
“We will probably be utilizing our therapeutic riding program where individuals will be able to mount the horse and gain benefits in the movement of the horse,” Gudim said. “Some of a given benefits are balance, coordination, confidence and self-esteem, and of course the list is long.”
That system being funded via the VA.
The Therapeutic Equestrian Center is additionally collaborating with other veterans and also their families who need assistance. That program is funded with a $175,000 grant from former State Senator Gregory Ball.
