What's the difference between your two?
Well, everyone who goes to a bike store and has got the clerks there help him, or her, fit the bike properly, will often 'modify' their bike by selecting the kind of saddle they like (narrow or broad, gel-filled, etc.), various stem lengths for handlebar top, v-pull or disc brakes, etc.
You can continue to modify your bike with extras including alarms, compasses, and lights - and you can even give it a paint job if you are great at that type of thing. (Indeed, I have got a Schwinn Sierra that is about four years of age, and I have been thinking of giving a brand new coat to it of blue paint with yellow highlights. Unfortunately, I know I don't have the talent to create it seem even almost decent.)
