Based on the analysis above, the ratio of tank surface area to volume is the most important factor that influences thermal JNJ26481585 storage capacity. Therefore, the shape with the smallest ratio should be selected in water tank design to obtain the best thermal energy storage capacity.

Fig. 11 exhibits the velocity and temperature fields of 10 differently shaped water tanks at 5 h. At Mesozoic Era point, the cooling processes in all of the tanks are in the quasi-steady state. According to the characteristics of the velocity and temperature fields in these water tanks, these shapes can be divided into three categories.
