5. Results and discussion
The key parameters through the simulation process are definitely the ambient and CGS inlet NG temperatures. Fig. 5 illustrates Birjand's daily average ambient temperature as well as the CGS inlet NG temperature in 2011. As expected the warm SB-222200 of the year begins from late May up to early October and the ambient temperature varies between 16 °C and 40 °C, whereas through the other months it changes from −10 °C to 20 °C.

Fig. 6 presents the daily average NG pressure and mass flow rate for Birjand station. As the figure shows, in contrast with the cold months of the year in which the NG pressure and mass flow rate are remarkably high, both the pressure and the flow rate of NG stream decrease in the hot months of the year.
