In Google's new struggle towards becoming a global media center, I have come to realize that the results delivered from Google News seems like simply the articles we publish daily. So I ask, does not it look like Google News resembles an article directory of some sorts?
* Google News World: http://news.google.com
* Google News Canada: http://news.google.ca
* Google News UK: http://news.google.co.uk
I only mention this because when submitting my website marketing posts, I often wonder if they appear within Google News? 9 times out of 1-0, they do! Actually, they generally show up within 4-8 hours to be listed from other top related internet sites.
How does Google News pick it's content?
Right now, it would appear that 'information facilities' & 'press release companies' linked to your field o-nline are making the most of these search results. If you consider it, would not a press release be a type of information anyways? Possibly...
You'll realize that only a select few are providing all the results, if you have a good look at the websites who deliver the information within Google news. Again, it's possible that Google's information formula remains in its infant stages and probably includes a large amount of constant battles to overcome.
It may be in Google's best interest to put together a staff of professionals in different fields to accept articles/news articles in order to keep the information source within the Google empire. For more information, you may check out: analyze bbc.com/news/world-south-asia-29809557/.
There's Merely A Fraction of Results Showing:
While searching through the GN area, you'll also observe a somewhat small percentage of actual search engine results arising. Only a fraction of the proportion of results get listed within the GN search results compared to the same results within the standard search results found on Google's main site.
Only the parts to the left deliver true real-time information. These are: Top Experiences|World|Organization|Sci/Tech|Sports|Activity|Health. These links provide results shipped from legitimate information sources on line.
Google News Alerts - E-zine anyone?
When you think about it, you are giving your current email address to Google to get relevant articles to the key phrase brought to your in-box, how can this vary from any other normal newsletter? Are we going to start seeing Google Adwords within-the news alerts? May they con-sider giving large organizations the ability to promote inside their e-mail alerts as an onetime mailing! I really hope not.
More and more we are viewing less of the Google we once knew and came to love (A search club with some good effects). Browse here at site to read why to provide for this belief. Since Google's IPO, the development group at GG are starting to launch programs on line that are starting to resemble what we now know as the great Yahoo Portal.
Maybe there is any difference? Probably not.
