In order to generalize the acceptability of the new hybrid algorithm, experiments were also carried out on the 3S2P configuration exhibiting two different patterns labeled as pattern 7 and pattern 8 in Fig. 10 (a) and (b) respectively. The experimentally determined MPPT curves employing the new and existing methods PND-1186 given in Fig, 10 (c), (d) and (e). This figure once again illustrates the superiority of the proposed algorithm with the existing methods in terms of faster convergence to GMPP and reduced duration of output power oscillations. The experimental results carried out on two different PV configurations under changing shading patterns clearly demonstrate carpels the proposed algorithm is a potential solution for GMPP tracking in PV systems under PSC and has superior performance over the existing methods. Table 5 and Table 6 give experimentally derived quantitative comparison between the different MPPT techniques and highlights the benefits of the proposed algorithm.
