Being a marketer, and for the report, I do think that we're all full-time marketers; I'm always looking for ways to connect more regularly with and add value to my target-audience I want top-of-mind consciousness for myself, my business and my choices.
Now for a long time, Ive known that writing my very own publication will be an ideal method to do that and more but, as an revolutionary marketer, I kept returning to the fact that there are already quite a bit of updates out there and some of them are excellent. Therefore I fought the concept of creating one tooth and nail. Did the world really need another publication?
Then one day I happened to put on my abundance-mindset hat and take off my scarcity-mindset hat and found the understanding that theres space for all of us available. So I thought to myself, You will want to, there are plenty of potential members offered to me; there are more than 6 billion people these days! And some of the people are designed to hear the information I will provide, from me.
Being an o-nline entrepreneur, I knew when I got this important commitment on, I'd want to do it electronically since in my mind, it would be faster, cheaper and easier for me to create. So I went ahead with an e-lectronic version of the newsletter or better known being an ezine. For months I searched the best e-zines, looking for both what I like-d and didnt like about them and came up with a conventional and professional structure for my soon-to be e-zine. I got it all ready it looked great, I was all set to go.
Then right before I hit the send button in my contact management computer software, I slammed on the brakes. Wait one minute, I said, That which was I about to do. This e-zine, while possibly could be well received, looked and felt the same as all the rest. Then my inner monologue really started in as I heard myself saying, It might effortlessly get lost in the mix or even worse, go unnoticed! That could translate into a significant number of individuals maybe not having the value I want to provide weekly value that could possibly make-or break a company! And the discussion in my head went on and on and on. Bottom-line, I just didnt feel good about it anymore. And I knew if my heart wasnt inside, the subscriber would know and finally both subscriber and I'd drop! They dont get excellent content and I drop a subscriber and potential Raving Fan.
Now I dont have confidence in being different only for the benefit of being different. I believe in being different when it creates a big difference, to both my target market and to me. Therefore I changed gears and went back to the drawing board. That was unpleasant. I was done. You will want to just send it out? I simply couldnt. I wanted to produce a something which made a huge difference and I wanted prospects to get sucked in. I wanted to generate an ELF (Easy, Lucrative, and Fun) knowledge for them I wanted a masterpiece.
Then it clicked! I really like to talk! I love to write as well but I undoubtedly enjoy talking more. I also knew that reports prove that people are more likely to listen than to learn and that they also retain more that way. Along with that, there have been much less audio-based ezines than print people so I'd certainly stand out in the package. All signs pointed to using audio, therefore right away, I knew an audio-based e-zine was right for me. I felt good about this! And the rest is history
