Liquid slugs occupying 3CAI whole cross-section of the pipe were formed intermittently and disturbed aeration at QINL and QINM for all μL. The onset of slugging was observed between the theory gas inlet and i = 3, and liquid slugs run toward the pipe end as shown in Fig. 7. On the other hand, no slugging was observed at QINH for all μL. Fig. 8 shows frequencies, fS, of slugging. The increases in QIN and μL suppressed slugging. The slugging criterion will be discussed in Section 3.3.
