To develop a more efficient tool to remove major odorants occurring in our living environment, we explored the feasibility of a PCO-based technique (e.g., TiO2, ZnO, and Fe2O3) for environmental purification of nuisance, especially on food-related odorants [10]. The PCO method has demonstrated its capacity to convert a broad range of air pollutants into harmless compounds (such as H2O and CO2 as final products) [11]. In recent years, titanium dioxide (TiO2) has been employed widely due to its potential to degrade a wide range of VOCs [12].
