Southwest Airlines is resuming nonstop flights from Detroit Metro Airport to McCarran International beginning September 30, 2012, with a restricted $99 one - way promo fare thrown in. This particular service was offered previously by the airline but was cancelled tiger airlines promo fare in 2006. Over 2000 customers fly between Las Vegas and Detroit daily.
Customers can book the promotional $99 one - way fare ( Detroit to Las Vegas leg only ) from now through February 27 and is restricted for travel between September 30 and November 2, 2012. These fares will not be offered every day or during peak travel times. The combined restrictions associated with the promotion will require some passenger flexibility tiger airlines promo fare but it still represents a great deal.
The new flight will depart Detroit Metro at 10:55 am Mondays through Saturdays and will arrive at McCarran at 12:25 pm Las Vegas time. On Sundays, the flight will depart Detroit at 9:30 am and arrive in Vegas at 11 am. Monday through Saturday return flights will depart McCarran at 12:15 pm and arrive in Detroit at 7:15 pm. Sunday returns depart Las Vegas at 12:50 pm and arrive in Detroit at 7:55 pm.
Southwest, the number 2 carrier at Detroit Metro Airport, will become the third airline to offer nonstop service from Detroit to Las Vegas. Currently, Delta offers five daily nonstop flights while Spirit Airlines offers three.
