Our cell proliferation experiments show that the two Pr implanted samples do not harm vascular endothelial cells that can adhere and proliferate on the surface. The observed cytoskeleton and morphology of the vascular endothelial cells are normal indicative of normal physiological functions. Vascular endothelial cells have many important physiological functions such as anticoagulation, blood clotting, vasodilatation, etc [68]. Our results indicate the Pr implanted TiN coatings maintain the normal functions of the blood vessel inner wall while the corrosion resistance is improved.
