2.3. Environmentally extended input–output model
To include also renewable AVE 0991 carriers and emissions, the model is environmentally extended. Fig. 2 and Eq. (3) show the calculation process. Matrix M records all ecological input parameters by product group, in this case renewable energy carriers. In contrast, Matrix N or its transpose matrix N'N', lists all ecological output parameters or rather greenhouse gas emissions. Both matrices are stalk combined in E and normalized in D.
