Zach Randolph trade rumors include the Phoenix Suns making an offer to the Memphis Grizzlies. That Randolph trade proposal has reportedly been turned down and the Grizzlies have also officially announced that they are pulling him off the open market.
This is big news because the former All-Star has been shopped around nearly all season. In fact, there had been buzz about him dating back into last season, where the team was trying to figure out its options with the power forward. With some improved play since Marc Gasol returned, maybe the allure of the postseason has overcome the front office.
These Zach Randolph trade rumors dont fully indicate what the Suns were offer up for him, but it does prove that the Grizzlies like what the current roster looks like. The team has won seven of its last 10 games to improve to 27-23 on the season and is now just 2 1/2 games back from the eighth playoff spot in the West. Keeping their starting power forward, who averages much better than a double-double every night, gives the team its best shot.
Its very interesting that an offer was made by the Suns, because it really proves that the team is trying to improve its roster for a second half run. The team is No. 6 in the West at 30-20, but could certainly use some more size to keep up with the bigger teams in the conference.
Do you think that the Memphis Grizzlies have enough talent to make it to the NBA Finals? Can the Phoenix Suns pull off a trade with another team now?
