How to retain the fire retardant during XPS recycling-A discovery recycling way
The other day we launched a fresh XPS chips and flakes recycle machine successfully at customer’s site in Beijing. This is an entire new recycle concept for the margins from the XPS production line.
Because of the pressure from conservation, CO2 foam XPS creation range is gaining floor. However CO2 foam requires co-blowing agent such plastic pellet extruder as ethanol or DME etc. which are flammable. How exactly to recycle the XPS margins without lack of flame retardant is a big challenge besetting every XPS panel manufacturers.
Our initiative intelligently solves this issue. The chips and flakes in the margin of the XPS production line or in the unqualified XPS boards will be conveyed to a feeding silo by air.
These chips and flakes will be pushed into kneading extrusion system which will crush and small it into semi-molten condition. Then your semi-molten lumps will be extruded into a thick sheet which will come into a pelletizer to create it into small granules such as the picture.
