Marketing Consultant Salary (United States)

A consultant is usually an expert or a professional in a specific field and has a wide knowledge of the subject matter. More often than not, a Marketing Director role is the next step for Marketing Consultants moving up in the field. Many other Marketing Consultants choose to take on a Marketing Manager role, where salaries are typically $60K. Survey takers working as Marketing Consultants report using a large range of professional skills. Most notably, skills in Strategic Marketing, Email Marketing, Marketing Management, and Branding are correlated to pay that is above average.

One of the headline findings is that the top four marketing activities that consultants engage in are: content marketing, social media, SEO and email marketing. This gives a hint (echoed throughout the report) that consultants prefer to use their own knowledge and time than spend their hard-earned cash on Online Marketing Ireland marketing. Another key finding is that while 38% of consultants spend 81-100% of their marketing efforts on digital, 13% still say that 80% of their marketing still happens offline. 68% of UK consultants say Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising is ineffective and 65% say online advertising is ineffective.

For example, email marketing came out on top for lead generation while social media was used most frequently for increasing awareness of a product of services. This surprised us a little bit, since most companies - reputable ones, at least - tend to use email marketing for nurturing existing relationships, rather than acquiring new customers. In financial terms the report left us in no doubt that marketing consultants are thrifty customers.

Engineering consultants provide engineering-related services such as design, supervision, execution, repair, operation, maintenance, technology, creation of drawings and specifications, and make recommendations to public, companies, firms and industries. Educational consultants assists students or parents in making educational decisions and giving advices in various issues, such as tuition fees, visa, and enrolling at Higher education. Internet consultants who are specialists in business use of the internet and keep themselves up-to-date with new and changed capabilities offered by the web.

Marketing consultants focus the majority of their time and energy on advising clients about how to attract and convert new customers, but do they practise what they preach when it comes to their own marketing? With this in mind, we partnered with Our Social Times and, with the support of Smart Insights and Enterprise Nation , surveyed over 130 UK-based marketing consultants and agencies on their habits, priorities and fears when it comes to promoting their own services.
