The Importance of Sleep and the Dangers of Deprivation

You've got to feel sorry for sleep. Its like the nerd in an archetypal high school, the guy who the jocks hit up for help with schoolwork and ignore otherwise. We may need sleep as a species, we at long last seem to have at least grudgingly admitted that fact but we sure dont respect it. When were overworked, as just about all of us now can reasonably claim to be, sleep is the first thing to go. We burn the midnight oil, rise before the sun and keep our smartphones at our bedside even while we slumber in case duty calls. And those devices, so indispensable in modern life, are themselves a reason for our sl
