HARTFORD, Conn. Snow-weary Northeasterners still digging out driveways and clearing roads from a weekend storm were hit with potential danger coming from above as well -- roofs collapsing from the weight of snow and ice along with recent rainfall.
Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy said the number of reported roof collapses across his state had grown to at least 16 by early evening Monday, up from five, in the morning. He warned places with flat roofs, like schools, to get them cleared.
