Adirondacks that are unfinished will usually turn a soft silvery grey. You are going to wish to mud these hardAdirondacks once annually, ever-so marginally, using or 150 grit sandpaper. That is solely for the purpose of "knocking down" any uneven fuzzy feed that might naturally occur due to exposure to the elements. It will also eliminate any bigger materials that could cause splinters and separate out. In addition, it gives an even and sleek appearance to the Adirondack furniture. Do not sand through the gold to show the natural colour of the timber. The intention just isn't to take out the gold patina but to simply maintain it sleek and looking great!
