Having lived within the Western United States my complete life, I have found the example of the European traveler to be fairly informative. Chicago believe it or not has nice beaches, skyscrapers and is probably the most balanced and best metropolis within the USA. San Francisco seems discount nice on a postcard, however in actuality it is chilly, damp, windy, filthy, expensive with far too many homeless people assaulting tourists. Planning subsequent trip to Miami and DC. I am from Chicago and would like to see my city in record.
It is arguably the city with the most effective utilization of its our bodies of water in the nation - a public park system that spans most of lake Michigan and a gorgeous array of riverwalks, San Diego is good, however mainly because of the weather. Irene, the drive from las vegas to san diego is just not dangerous, however I'd counsel either flying or traveling by prepare to San francisco.
I'm a fantastic lover of America Las Vegas being my fav.I've created a hub on money saving ideas which would tie in nice.Considering of going to Washington subsequent as I've never article has helped me resolve the place to go subsequent. Las Vegas is considered one of my favorite cities, and if anybody who visits gets an opportunity, they should go to the Grand Canyon by way of helicopter trip.
The beaches in Florida completely blow away the west Coast, the water is so tough ya cant even swim, the seashores are run down with no nice hotels and the sand and water are nasty! I've been to a great variety of these cities and I've to say that for probably the most half I agree with it. However, I'd put Chicago over Orlando. I've but to go to San Francisco, I hear it's absolutely stunning and very walkable.
There are just a few cities that are disregarded that 'have' to be added: New Orleans, Philadephia and Chicago. I went to medical school in New Orleans which makes me biased but I'd almost place that with the top tier of three cited above because of it's unique character, history, culture, music-scene. Not like Charleston and Savannah that are additionally cultural/visual southern gems, New Orleans is a larger more significant metropolis (though reduced somewhat by the Katrina). In looking at suejanet's remark, I might commerce out Orlando for Chicago, or New Orleans. San Diego is nice, but definitely not a prime ten desitnation in my book, take that off.
