MSU may ditch soccer stadium for new building

Midwestern State University's administration is eyeing a new construction location on the north campus for its new Health Science and Human Services facility, and it wants to nix plans for a new soccer stadium and parking garage.

Those recommendations are pending the approval of the board of regents, which will meet in a special session Wednesday. The administration also will request authorization to enter into contracts for artificial turf, lighting and the state master lease program for financing.
