Your work ethic affects the amount of field time you will get. Having natural talent is important, but you also must be able to work and play well with others. Your coach would prefer a hardworking player over player that has natural abilities and is lazy.

Have someone video tape you playing football if you're interested in trying out for a college team. Get footage that highlights your speed, agility, strength, dexterity and accuracy. It is important to show many different skills to showcase that you are a versatile player.

You should be careful when playing football in bad weather; sometimes you should stop the game completely. Football is of course a sport that is played rain or shine. You have probably see pro games take place during snow, rain and even sleet. If it gets too unsafe, they will leave the field. You and your teammates should do likewise.
