As a pet-friendly apartment community in New Haven, the College and Crown Apartment Pet Friendly ambiance complies with the Fair Housing Act that allows reasonable accommodations for service animals, including for therapy or emotional support.

As our way of appreciating pet animals, the College and Crown Apartment Pet Friendly ambiance allows dogs up to 29 pounds and under. Your furry friends should meet this weight requirement. We have also provided pet walk stations along the different blocks of the College and Crown Apartments.

Under the College and Crown Apartment Pet Friendly ambiance, cats would also be allowed and breed restrictions would apply to both cats and dogs. A non-refundable pet fee of $300 for 29 lbs and under and $400 for 29 lbs and over would be required. A $600 non-refundable pet fee for two pets would also be required. Added to this is a rental fee of $10 per pet per month Breed restriction include but are not limited to Chows, Rottweiler, Pit Bulls, and Doberman Pinschers. 

The College and Crown Apartment Pet Friendly ambiance however may not allow exotic pets like rabbits, ferrets, rats, mice, guinea pigs, hamsters and reptiles into the community. Informing the office about any exotic pets you may have other than dogs and cats would be highly appreciated.

But if you have a disability and have brought a service dog for you, College and Crown Apartment Pet Friendly ambiance would acknowledge that, and all you need to do is to inform the office in advance if you have brought along a service animal for special assistance. 

The College and Crown Apartment Pet Friendly ambiance also acknowledges a trained animal to provide personal assistance to persons with obvious disabilities such as blind persons. The policy on deposit and rental would still apply to residents with a need for dogs who would perform services for them. Under this special situation, breed restrictions would also apply to both cats and dogs.

The College and Crown Apartment is a pet friendly community, and this contributes to enhancing your stay in the apartment as if it were your home. Pets are lovable creatures, and within certain weight and breed restrictions, you can tag along a maximum of two pets.
