The CPT or Common Proficiency Test is the first level of Chartered Accountancy examinations in India

It is an objective type examination and consists of 200 multiple choice questions. CPT covers four basic subjects divided into two sections.

2. Economics (50 Marks) + Quantitative Aptitude (50 Marks

IPCC is known as Integrated Professional Competence Course is the second level of Chartered Accountancy examinations. A person can take the IPCC Examination after passing CPT and nine months of study. IPCC has two groups of seven subjects.

It will have six subjects i.e. two subjects are added to previous course. The two new subjects are Business communication and General English. Six subjects of foundation course.

Paper 3 A: Mercantile Law

Paper 3 B: General Economics

Paper 4: General English

Paper 4 B: Business Communications and ethics

No, CA -IPCC Exam is not given before CA- CPT. CPT is the entry level test for CA. so students have to qualify first CA-CPT Exam than he/she is eligible for CA- IPCC.

Instead of this, if you wish to directly appear for your IPCC exams without appearing for your CPT Exam then first you need to clear your graduation (B-Com) then yes, you would be eligible to directly appear for the IPCC  Exams.
