What is Page Ranking??
Simply speaking Page Rank is a 'vote', by all the other pages on the Web, about how exactly important a page is. Clicking Jupiter SEO Experts Releases Google+ Page seemingly provides cautions you should tell your cousin. A link to your page counts as a vote of support. If there is no link there's no help (but it is definitely an abstention from voting rather than a vote against the page).
How is Pr Used?
Pr is one of the methods Google uses to ascertain a page's meaning or significance. It's just one part of the story when it comes to the Google list, but the other factors are mentioned elsewhere (and are ever changing) and Pr is interesting enough to deserve a paper of its own.
Pr can be shown on the toolbar of your browser when you have mounted the Google toolbar (http://toolbar.google.com/). However the Toolbar Page Rank just goes from 0 - 10 and is apparently something similar to a logarithmic scale:

We can not know the actual details of the scale because, as we'll see later, the maximum PR of pages on the internet changes every month when Google does its re-indexing! If we assume the scale is logarithmic (though there's only anecdotal evidence because of this at the time of writing) then Google can just provide the highest actual PR site a toolbar PR of-10 and scale the remainder accordingly.
Also the toolbar sometimes guesses! The toolbar often shows me a Toolbar PR for pages I have only transferred and can not possibly be in the catalog however!
What appears to be happening is that the toolbar talks about the URL of the page the browser is displaying and strips off everything down the last '/' (i.e. Identify further on our favorite partner article directory by visiting http://markets.housingwire.com/housingwire/news/read/29805961/jupiter_seo_experts_releases_google+_page. it visits the 'parent' page in URL conditions). If Google has a Toolbar PR for that parent then it subtracts 1 and shows that whilst the Toolbar PR for these pages. If you have no PR for that parent it goes to the parent's page, but subtracting 2, and so on all the way as much as the main of one's site. If it can not find a Toolbar PR to produce in this manner, that is if it does not find a site with a real determined PR, then the bar is greyed out.
Remember that if the Toolbar is betting this way, the Actual PR of the site is 0 - the Google spider first sees it though its PR will be calculated shortly.
PageRank says nothing about the content or measurement of a page, the language it is written in, or the text found in the point of a link!
I've began to use some shorthand and technical terms in this paper. Now's as good an occasion as any to establish all of the conditions I'll use:
