I played World of Warcraft for pretty much two years. During, this period of my life I ran a small guild, but was a notable PVPer in my server Boulderfist. During those years we had the Honor System, not the token system that exists today.
I believe that the honor system to become superior to the token system in everyway. The old honor system, of classic WoW were gone. I could relate in their mind and admire them. But, those who did like me were rewarded hamsomly.
I played a little of the current token system, but never felt in the home with it. This system allowed players to work as hard because they portail design could to obtain whatever they desired. I could relate for them and admire them. The token system simply allowed everyone to have the things they wanted if they worked hard enough.
I believe that the honor system to be superior to the token system in everyway. No longer could you compete to become a premier rank, you could simply play as hard so when long when you could and obtain the rare armor, like everyone else. These ranks installed a feeling of loyalty and portail design admiration for that player. By taking away the ranks and making the honor avaliable to everyone, it suddenly made the best part of the game, the honor system, simply a formality to grinding pvp gear.
It took away the prestige of the game, it rewarded the ordinary and penalized the super elite class of pvpers which in fact had developed throughout the honor days. . This was the reason that I quit WoW, since it took away the only presitge offered within the game and opened it to everyone.
