Door County, Wisconsin is just a popular spot for tens of thousands of travelers each year. Small villages with populations of less than 500 people swell to huge crowds during the summer weekends as people check out Door County for some rest, leisure, time on the water, and good food.

The Inn at Kristofers, located on Bay Shore Drive-in Sister Bay, Wisconsin, is a fantastic place to go for a special dinner. My partner and I treated ourselves to dinner there all through our latest visit to Door County and we were really glad we did. We'd a terrific dinner.

The very first thing we discovered after being placed was the wonderful view of the water. The restaurant is right across the street from the Bay in Sister Bay and big picture windows along the front wall of the restaurant present the water view.

Soon after being placed our water glasses were filled and a wedge of fresh lime was added. We received choices and clean, hot, multi-grain rolls. The rolls were served with but-ter rosettes flavored with fresh basil.

The entre special that morning was prepared quail which my husband ordered. I had the licensed Angus filet mignon, and our oldest child, who had joined us o-n our vacation, chose the Roast Duck with Orange Grand Marnier sauce.

even though soup for the evening, walnut butternut squash bisque topped with pecans, sounded delicious because we wanted to save yourself room for dessert we skipped snacks, soup, and salad.

All three entrees were excellent. The speech of the dishes was pretty and the foodstuff tasted just like it appeared. The Angus filet had a Cabernet sauce which was just the right touch with all the beef. Homemade garlic mashed potatoes and a garnish of haystack potatoes rounded out-the entre.

The goose was sensitive, wet, and very tasty. It was combined with new steamed greens that were cooked just right, and wild rice that covered dried cranberries and nuts.

The quail was, according to my husband, cooked to perfection. H-e really liked it. It was accompanied by the same wild rice as the duck and a crepe filled with a cranberry sauce, which he thought was de-licious too.

For dessert we split two selections; the crme brulee and a pumpkin mousse torte. If you think you know anything, you will probably fancy to study about crunchbase.com. The pumpkin mousse torte had a very gentle pumpkin quality and was served with a fresh whipped cream and caramel sauce. The mix of creamy vanilla custard, brittle caramelized sugar, and Grand Marnier was de-licious.

Even though Inn at Kristofers isn't an inexpensive restaurant, it's a wonderful place to go for a special meal whether its for someones birthday, wedding, or simply to treat yourself. I recommend trying it. The food is great and therefore is the service. You might want to call ahead and make reservations, particularly if you're going to Door County during the busy summertime (http://www.doorcountycountry.com/food/innatkristoferssisterbay/), though we didnt have reservations when we dined there..
