World Of Warcraft

I played World of Warcraft for pretty much two years. During, this period of my life I ran a small guild, but would be a notable PVPer on my server Boulderfist. I was a Lieutenant Commander of the Alliance. During those years we had the Honor System, not the token system that exists today.

It took away the prestige of the game, it rewarded the ordinary and penalized the super elite class of pvpers that had developed during the honor days. The old honor system, of portail design classic WoW were gone. I could relate to them and admire them. The token system simply allowed everyone to get what they wanted if they worked hard enough.

The honor system allowed players to compete for your top ranking of Grand Marshal or High Warlord. No longer could you compete being a top rank, you can simply play as hard so that as long while you could and obtain the rare armor, like everyone else. This was the reason that I quit WoW, as it took away the sole presitge offered in the game and opened it to everyone.

It took away the prestige of the game, it rewarded the ordinary and penalized the super elite class of pvpers that had developed throughout the honor days. Sure, the cons to the honor system were that not everyone could obtain the rare armor, not everyone could play 15 hours a day to get enough kills and honor points to level up at the conclusion of the week. World PVP was discouraged.
