UPDATE @ 6:20 p.m.: Fire officials confirm the two-story house in the 700 block of Ingram Avenue is vacant and crews allowed the fire to burn once that was determined. The structure has now burned to the ground.
Fire officials tell us flames were shooting through the roof when they arrived.
Extra crews and supplies were sent to the scene because of the heat and humidity. No injuries were reported. The arson investigator will determine the probable cause of the fire.
UPDATE @ 5:59 p.m.: An arson investigator has been called to the fire on Ingram Avenue.
Crews are on the scene of a house fire in the 700 block of Ingram Avenue. Crews are saying the two-story structure could be unoccupied.
Crews are asking Dayton police to block traffic at Fleetfoot Street and Burwood Avenue.
Heavy flames can be seen coming from the structure, which sits at the northern edge of Mallory Park.
