Delphi planning the first automated cross country drive

Forget smart phones and smart watches. These days, cars that can drive themselves are all the rage. There are a handful of companies rushing to get the first completely autonomous vehicle on the streets. In recent years, the automated car industry has seen a lot of firsts. Soon, Delphi, one of the industry leaders, hopes to be the first to pilot a car cross country. If successful, their cross country trip would best the previous record Audi set when they piloted an autonomous car from San Francisco to Las Vegas without incident.
