San Diego Beach Hikes Cardiff to Carlsbad
San Diego provides a bevy of interesting hikes. With the average house value being around $500,000, they better be interesting!
To unwind, I generally stop on my way home from work to walk from Cardiff to Carlsbad on the beach. For attractive sunsets and delicious waves, the seaside between Cardiff to Carlsbad cant be beat.
Cardiff - Starting
This hike is typically started by me by parking just south of restaurant line in Cardiff. Restaurant row is situated to the north of the lagoon between Cardiff and Solana Beach on Highway 101. Parking is situated on the side of the road, that is right against the beach. Give ease to me or give death to me!
As you head north, you first move Charlies and other restaurants. Past the restaurants, you will come to the beginning of the beach that will be lined by the bluffs to the end-of the hike. San Elijo campground is along with the hills and extends for roughly a mile north. The campground is quite common and the temporary home of tourist and residents. You are able to tell the huge difference by contrasting tans with sunburns.
Following San Elijo, you'll walk through Sea Cliff County Park with hills over 100 feet high. This park is quickly followed by an area known affectionately as Swamis. The name comes from the fact the place above the bluff is the home to the Self Realization Fellowship Center. This region is know as warm scan area, but is very crowded. You can watch and stop 50 or so users control for waves, if you are a bit winded. Yes, traffic jams arent exclusively limited to California roads.
North of Swamis, you'll cruise along a long strip of sand hemmed in by 50 to 60 foot bluffs within the city of Encinitas. For anyone with a great sense of humor, there is a somewhat common game called, your house fall Watch. Yes, the bluffs are offering slowly. The homes first drop flowers, etc and then decks, as they erode. They say real estate is all about location, location, location, but sometimes a beach front house isnt all that good.
The Encinitas portion of the walk is pretty long. Using the high hills, you will find parts of the beach which are abandoned. Yes, even all through summer. The only thing breaking up the solitude is Moonlight Beach, a reasonably popular beach with locals. Otherwise, its only you, covers and sportsmen until you arrive at the end of the bluffs and South Carlsbad. Time for you to turnaround and get the car.
The Cardiff to South Carlsbad rise is approximately 5 miles in each direction. Get additional resources on an affiliated encyclopedia - Browse this web page: buy here. The walk is smooth and fast. By the end, you'll be calm and forget that Bert in sales is a jerk. Appreciate..
