Men, be honest: Do you want you were larger? Almost certainly, the answer is sure.

"I think there is not a guy in the world who has not wished his penis were an inch or two longer," says Michael O'Leary, MD, professor of urologic surgical procedure at Harvard Healthcare School and a urologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

However, after more than the usual century of usually dubious and occasionally lunatic penis enlargement makes an attempt, there's still not much you can do. Certain, you will find tons and lots of supposed options available -- penis pills, creams, brutal stretching exercises, horrific-looking devices, and penis surgical procedure. Nearly none of it works. The couple of methods that can function often have modest advantages and serious aspect effects. How serious? In some instances, erectile dysfunction-serious.

"Trust me, if I knew of the way to securely and successfully improve penis size, I'd be considered a billionaire," O'Leary tells WebMD. "But I do not. No one does."

Still, common feeling does not stop size-obsessed guys from attempting very sketchy remedies on a vital part of their anatomy -- and risking a lot in the process.

How Little Is a Small penis?
Think you're smaller than typical? You're most likely not.

The standard erect penis is usually five to 6 inches long having a circumference of four to 5 inches. There's more variation in the dimension of flaccid penises.

Some guys are truly smaller sized than that. In uncommon cases, genetics and hormone problems trigger a condition called micropenis -- an erect penis of below three inches. Occasionally Peyronie's illness or prostate most cancers surgical procedure can reduce a guy's size.

But studies display that the majority of the men seeking penis enlargement are average-sized. They just believe they are below average.

Why? Part of it's viewpoint. It is extremely difficult to gauge the size of your own penis -- searching down, you've received a nasty angle.

Psychology performs a task, too. Some average-sized men become obsessive about the concept that they are as well little. There is even a psychiatric prognosis: penile dysmorphic disorder. It is much like the perceptual distortion of anorexics who think they're body fat no matter how thin they get.

Based on one research, the majority of men who get penis enlargement surgical procedure have this situation. They are also the minimum happy with the outcomes.
