Guys, be sincere: Would you want you were bigger? Almost definitely, the answer is yes.

"I think there is not a man on the planet who hasn't wished his penis had been an inch or two lengthier," says Michael O'Leary, MD, professor of urologic surgical procedure at Harvard Healthcare School along with a urologist at Brigham and Women's Clinic in Boston.

However, following more than a century of generally dubious and occasionally lunatic penis enlargement makes an attempt, there is nonetheless not a lot you can do. Sure, there are lots and plenty of intended choices out there -- penis pills, creams, brutal stretching exercises, horrific-looking devices, and penis surgical procedure. Nearly none of it works. The couple of methods that can function frequently have modest benefits and severe side results. How severe? In some instances, erectile dysfunction-serious.

"Trust me, if I knew of a way to safely and successfully increase penis dimension, I'd be considered a billionaire," O'Leary tells WebMD. "But I don't. Nobody does."

Nonetheless, common feeling doesn't stop size-obsessed men from attempting very sketchy remedies on the important component of their anatomy -- and risking a lot in the procedure.

How Little Is a Small penis?
Think you're smaller than average? You are probably not.

The standard erect penis is generally five to 6 inches long having a circumference of 4 to 5 inches. There is much more variation in the dimension of flaccid penises.

Some guys are truly smaller sized than that. In uncommon instances, genetics and hormone issues cause a situation called micropenis -- an erect penis of below 3 inches. Occasionally Peyronie's disease or prostate most cancers surgical procedure can decrease a guy's dimension.

But research show that most from the men looking for penis enlargement are average-sized. They just think they are beneath typical.

Why? Component of it is perspective. It's extremely difficult to gauge the dimensions of one's personal penis -- looking down, you have received a bad angle.

Psychology plays a task, as well. Some average-sized men become obsessive about the idea that they're as well little. There's even a psychiatric prognosis: penile dysmorphic condition. It's much like the perceptual distortion of anorexics who believe they are body fat no matter how thin they get.

Based on one study, nearly all men who get penis enlargement surgery have this situation. They are also the minimum happy with the outcomes.
