Guys, be sincere: Do you wish you were bigger? Almost definitely, the solution is sure.

"I believe there is not a guy in the world who hasn't wished his penis had been an inch or two longer," says Michael O'Leary, MD, professor of urologic surgical procedure at Harvard Healthcare College along with a urologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

However, after much more than the usual century of usually doubtful and occasionally lunatic penis enlargement attempts, there's nonetheless not much you can do. Sure, you will find tons and lots of intended options out there -- penis tablets, creams, brutal stretching workouts, horrific-looking gadgets, and penis surgical procedure. Nearly none of it really works. The couple of approaches that can function often have modest benefits and severe side results. How serious? In some instances, erectile dysfunction-serious.

"Trust me, if I understood of the way to securely and successfully increase penis size, I'd be a billionaire," O'Leary tells WebMD. "But I don't. Nobody does."

Nonetheless, common sense doesn't quit size-obsessed guys from attempting very sketchy remedies on a vital part of their anatomy -- and jeopardizing a great deal within the procedure.

How Little Is really a Little penis?
Think you're smaller than typical? You are most likely not.

The standard erect penis is generally 5 to 6 inches lengthy having a circumference of 4 to five inches. There is more variation in the dimension of flaccid penises.

Some men are genuinely smaller sized than that. In rare cases, genetics and hormone issues trigger a situation known as micropenis -- an erect penis of below three inches. Occasionally Peyronie's disease or prostate cancer surgical procedure can decrease a guy's size.

But studies show that most from the guys seeking penis enlargement are average-sized. They just believe they are below average.

Why? Component of it is perspective. It is very hard to gauge the size of your own penis -- searching down, you have received a nasty angle.

Psychology performs a task, too. Some average-sized guys become obsessed with the concept that they are as well small. There's even a psychiatric diagnosis: penile dysmorphic disorder. It's similar to the perceptual distortion of anorexics who think they're body fat no matter how skinny they get.

Based on one study, nearly all men who get penis enlargement surgery have this situation. They are also the least happy with the results.
