Clinton Young wrote, âI have been blessed to be a resident of Mount Vernon NY for fifty years and a member of this church for 20 of these years. My father brought our family to the metropolis simply because it was a symbol of hope and guarantee to him. I have carried his desire in my heart all of my lifestyle , and regardless of the existing condition of the town, I am as thrilled by the prospects of our city as my father was the day he arrived.â
