The last test of this set is related to the fast charging operations of the LiFePO4 battery pack with the contribution of the electric power coming from the GNF 5 storage buffer and the reduced support of the main grid. For this test the LiFePO4 battery pack has been selected, even though similar results would be obtained with the other battery pack Li[NiCoMn]O2 already analyzed. As described in Fig. 4 of Section 2, this operation can be realized by means of the flux 2 and 4, which involve both the unidirectional plus bidirectional DC/DC power converter and bidirectional AC/DC power converter, obtaining the same charging profile of Fig. 12A. Fig. 14 shows the main electrical parameters related to the energy storage buffer and to the low voltage AC grid for this test.
