Final game auction in the North West for 2015
A recent article that appeared in the Landbou Weekblad stated that game auction records were recently broken at the G3 game auction at Heart Valley Jan Kemp Town. The turnover was R73 million. "This news bodes well for the game auction industry as it shows that it is continuing to perform extremely well," says Willie Joubert, Director of Safrican Game Capture. Some exceptional prices were achieved for the game - among the rare species, a white saddle back-blesbokram and two ewes were sold at R2.6 million and R2 million respectively. A white silk Impala ram was sold for R7,2 million, and a group of eight Wildebeest at R8,4 million. Two coffee springbok achieved R2 million and R1,7 million resepctively .
