Why settle for a mere farmhouse in Provence when you can buy the whole French village of Courbefy, near Limoges? At one point, 200 people lived here, but now it's pretty much a ghost town. There are 19 buildings, which include family homes, a town hall, stables and a swimming pool. Someone bought the town in 2003 hoping to turn it into a tourist destination; it is now bank-owned.
