The Army Hearing Program (AHP) is evolving from its predecessor,
the Army Hearing Conservation Program (AHCP). The AHP strives to prevent
noise--induced hearing loss during training and deployment operations
without compromising combat effectiveness.
In contrast, the older AHCP is a garrison-based model which worked
well in peacetime, but fell short of the mark with the onset of
