Burley owner places bet on west Eugene real estate | Local
The owner of Burley, the Eugene company known globally for its trailers to tow kids or cargo behind bicycles, has substantially increased his property holdings in west Eugene.
A family company controlled by Burley CEO Mike Coughlin recently bought four buildings on 5.66 acres in Westec Business Park, near the former Hynix site, for $7.2 million from a family company controlled by Rosaria Haugland. Haugland co-founded the biotech company in west Eugene now owned by Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Coughlin said he bought the buildings, which lie just across Westec Drive from Burleys 48,204-square-foot headquarters, as a long-term investment and for Burleys future expansion.
