The function of Bis(triethoxysilylpropyl)amine
Bis(triethoxysilylpropyl)amine is a kind of amine type coupling agent, mainly used in the phenolic resin, epoxy resin and melamine resin, polypropylene, etc., to improve the intermiscibility of resin and wettability, improve transparency and wet state of physical and mechanical properties and electrical performance, reduce the water absorption of laminated products, such as improving resistance to dirty. Also used for polyurethane rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber and epdm, such as coupling agent.
With water as dispersion medium, waterborne polyurethane has noncombustible, non-toxic, no pollution, and the advantages of easy processing, has received widespread attention. However, compared with the conventional solvent-based polyurethane, water-borne polyurethane is water resistance and low hardness of faults, limits the promotion and application of its products. How to improve the water resistance and hardness of waterborne polyurethane, plays an important role for the development and application of a high grade product.
At present, the organic silicone modified waterborne polyurethane with lateral or terminal baseband has an active group of linear polysiloxane. Polysiloxane modified waterborne polyurethane to a certain extent, improved the water resistance of Bis(triethoxysilylpropyl)amine, however, because of the influence of phase separation of serious problems such as the mechanical properties of waterborne polyurethane, and emulsion stability is bad, the coating hardness is not high.
