If you have a good 720p projector you can get much better bang for you home theater buck investing in other parts of your system. In this case, the LCD/plasma differences (brightness, contrast, glare resistance) swamp the resolution difference. I think I do notice the small difference but I doubt most would. As I said, once you use all of the lines to produce the final output, it's not such an advantage to keep a simple ratio of two small integers. Answer this question for yourself by going to a store and looking at the two side by side. Uh oh.there I go again . Whats the best way to proceed? What should I do to optimize for 720p? The table is priceless. As you can imagine, if you are looking at two screens of the same size, and one has a higher resolution than the other (16001200 would be a higher screen resolution than 640480 for example), the content on the one with the higher resolution will appear sharper and clearer. Any help would be appreciated. Vertical lines? It sounds like you have it backwards. Good luck Reply Frank Lowney June 8, 2011 at 10:22 am Ive been doing a lot of video work targeting the iBooks.app where 640480 (SD) seems to be the most versatile format. Now that's its 1080i, it seems to not count for some reason, but when its 480i vs 480p its the same thing. Realize that just because something is 1080P doesn't mean it will look good its just the resolution of the final product. With rapid development of new technologies, both cameras become affordable. For example if you have a Keynote presentation at 640px x 480px (a 4:3 ratio) that you want to record and display as a video on your website that has a width of 500px, then you should export your video at 500 x 375 (500 divided by 1.333 = 375) to keep the same ratio size. view our sponsors showcase AVS Forum is proudly sponsored by . I have seen other postings were they say that if the movie comes with support for all resolutions then it will display correctly, however I am not sure about this.I also connected the PS3 to an LVM-37w3 (1080p monitor) and the movie displayed correctly at 1080p there.
