Now that Ive upgraded to Adobe Production Premium CS5.5, Im starting to get back into Premiere. I like this configuration because I can easily determine what will and will not be cut off whena television station center cuts my video. But guess who else adheres to it? iTunes. If youve spenta lot of time in the industry, odds are youve heard about the term title safe. If there is important imagery or text present around the edge, it may not be visible on the average TV set. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 6. Even today, we still need to pay attention to these issues because not everyone has yet upgraded to an LCD TV set. But if you know it's only going to 4:3, you're right, just letterbox and forget about it. To get 4:3 center cut areas to show up in your 16:9 project, click on Project>Project Settings>General. Obviously, the resolution of a video in pixels has little bearing on the aspect ratio of the video; 1.5:1 is the ratio of width to height in pixels, but nobody watches DVDs on a 1.5:1 TV set. This means anything outside the outer lines will not show up on a 4:3 monitor. See image above.I looked all over in the menus to see if there was a 4:3 option but there wasnt& At least it isnt labelled or classified as something that is easily recognized.
