The Right Stuff 1080p Vs 720p

To add insult to injury, the visual acuity limit measured here is only valid in a tiny area around the spot where you are focusing. I have a 720p with a digital HD receiver and it looks exactly the same as my friends 1080p with the same crispness and clarity. Janice December 12th, 2009 at 2:56 am Prior to reading posts on this site, I was trying to decide between a 503 LG plasma 50PQ30HDP (I was told the P stands for pro) versus a 463 Toshiba LCD 46VR53OR from a company that sells primarily to commercial customers and high end residential (which we are not). Do I go back to the crisper LCD or keep the more colorful and brighter plasma? Im torn between the two sets. In practice you will have a very hard time telling the difference and you will likely miss some of the details, so it is up to you to decide whether to invest in it. And youre very likely to keep it for more than 2 years. Also, keep in mind that cheaper entry-level models dont look as good as more expensive high-end ones. A test is provided that allows you to see if you would be able to discern any extra detail in an UHD image compared to a full-HD image. The 1080 P model is currently at 1169.00 and 719.00 for the 720p. I dont think however that the days of plasma TVs are over yet.

Since you havent told me the exact models you are considering I cant tell you which is better. It doesnt matter if you watch Blu Ray and the TV is 1080p. For that distance and screen size, the optimal screen resolution is 720p. TheBestPlasmaTV.com August 28th, 2009 at 3:53 pm Jawzeee: From 8-9 feet, optimal screen size is 42-463 for 720p content and 603+ for 1080p content. I have been thinking that i wont be buying any blue ray discs though i may rent them. With image stretching, you want the higher bitrate videos as pixelation, artifacting, and other picture degredations are less noticeable as screen size grows (provided the set is using a high quality non-TN panel).

TheBestPlasmaTV.com August 30th, 2009 at 4:20 am Keith: Well, you have all the info you need on the site. My educated guess is that the Panasonic has a better picture quality compared to Insignia (which is not known as a manufacturer of top LCDs). Both are totally irrelevant specs. SecurityCameraKing.com 33,063 views 0:35 Difference Between 240p,360p,480p,720p And 1080p - Duration: 4:44. TheBestPlasmaTV.com September 7th, 2009 at 11:04 am Beasley: No, sorry. Another thing I can recommend is to consider a larger screen size if your budget allows it. In typical setups with reasonably-sized television screens and comfortable viewing distances, increasing the resolution from 1080p to 4K brings no visible improvement. This one is for the techies. For 8 feet, the optimal size is 423 for 720p, 60-653 for 1080i/p and 323 or smaller for 480i/p.

The resolution of your eyes drops quickly outside the fovea (you can verify this by repeating the acuity test while focusing on a spot next to the actual text area). Initially we willbe watching over the air HD using a indoor antenna but will be upgrading to Direct TV HD or Dish HD in very near future. TheBestPlasmaTV.com November 12th, 2009 at 10:17 am sam coffaro: Samsung LN32B650 (best but a bit over your budget). Will be used primarily for DVDs Thanks again. Rating is available when the video has been rented. THESE TVS are exactly the same price. It seems to me that I will not get that wow factor until I get a set over 503.
