Industrial roll coating and roller coating of architectural and
maintenance coatings are similar processes. Both involve cylindrical
applicators that transfer paint to the surface being painted. Roll
coating is a high speed process for coating metal, wood, or composite
flat stock (coils of metal, sheets of wood, or composite material).
Coiled metal is rapidly uncoiled, painted, baked, and recoiled.
Direct roll coating (also called forward coating) is almost exactly
