Ctrl-Alt-Backspace disabled by default in Xorg. The Ctrl-Alt-Backspace key combination to force a restart of X is now disabled by default, to eliminate the problem dontzap-ubuntu - Xorg settings to re-enable Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to kill the X-Server. The DontZap feature is no longer working for me on Fedora 16 and Ubuntu 11.10 (most recent releases as of November 2011), so I found an 16 Jul 2009 To: [email protected]; Subject: Re: X11 without HAL: "DontZap" in /etc/X11/xorg.conf doesn't work anymore; From: Dirk Default: off. Option "DontZap" "boolean" This disallows the use of the Terminate_Server XKB action (usually on Ctrl+Alt+Backspace, depending on XKB options). For me, it appears to be disabled in System->Preferences->Keyboard but in fact it's still active, destructive and "out there". dontzap doesn't DontZap DontVTSwitch. It has been a little while since I had to try and customize anything with openSUSE.
